Eastern Counties CA will require four Club marshalls next year

and Colin will apply for these.

VTTA (EAST ANGLIAN GROUP) LUNCH - 29TH NOVEMBER
Eight Club members, John C, Don and Olive, Ken and Maureen, John
P, Mick and Roger were among 65 members and friends who enjoyed
a very sociable occasion at the Holiday Inn, Ipswich.
There we were firstly entertained with a very interesting talk
by Lee Bark (Stowmarket & DCC) on sport and physical fitness
in the Army, before Olive had the privilege of presenting the
awards to prizewinners.
Among the award winners Ken edged Maureen as the Club's most
successful rider by achieving standards at 10,25,30 and 50 plus
2nd handicap in the first Group 10, while Maureen was awarded
standards at 10,25,30 and 50. John C was also successful with
standards at 10 and 25 miles while Bob Quarton achieved a National
3 distance certificate.
At the preceeding Group AGM attended by three Club members, Mick
was again elected Group Archivist.
EAST ANGLIAN CC 25 - 27TH SEPTEMBER
Confusion at the result board which was transferred to the result
sheet has been rectified which means that John Tovell won 1st
Vet on Standard in the 70-74 age group.
SPORTING COURSES ( SPOCO) EAST COMPETITION 2009
This year's competition featured five Club members - same as
last year, Don also entered but did not race this year. With
riders having to complete seven qualifying events to feature
in the prize list our group was led by Colin Clarke with 604
points, backed by Ken Nichols 564 just ahead of Maureen 560.
Roger Selmes with a curtailed season rode six events - 452 and
Olive who could only ride three events - 130.
Colin also had the satisfaction of winning the medal for Best
Improvement by increasing last year's total by 129 points.
