2011 was the 50th anniversary of the Wolsey Road club
The day dawned clear and dry but very breezy, by the end of the morning it was definitely windy. Several Wolsey club members were working hard by 7am, setting up the results board, agreeing the final details and more importantly finding the tea cups, saucers and teapot!
As a tribute to a great competitor and long standing club member, the late Pat Pepper, it is an aim of the Wolsey Road Club to encourage women to compete in time-trials. To this end, all women entries were free and the Pat Pepper Memorial Trophy is annually presented to the fastest lady. This year the ladies competition was particularly close with 7 secs between 1st and 2nd so special congratulations go to both these ladies .
The Wolsey Club hope that all the competitors enjoyed the morning as much as we did. We hope to see you all in 2012.
